Grosse Ile Alliance for the arts is a non-profit corporation which enriches the art experience for the area resident, and art lovers through out the world.
Grosse Ile Farmers Market on Macomb
We will be participating at the GI Farmers Market on Macomb the second Saturday of each month from 8:30am to 12:30pm. We will have baked goods and artwork for sale. These sales will help fund the Concert on the Commons. Thank you DDA for organizing this event.
Concert on the Commons
We are ready for our Summer Concert on the Commons! We have some new bands along with your favorite bands returning. Our Sunday concerts start on June 29 and end August 31. These concerts are free for our community so bring your blanket, chair, and whole family and enjoy music performed at the gazebo at the corner of Meridian & Macomb street. We would like to thank all the donators who helped us financially to fund these concerts. This event was started 15 years ago by our lovely Pam Frucci!

Grosse Ile Islandfest 2025
We had a very successful Island fest 2025. This event took place at the Grosse Ile Air port hangar May 30 - June 1. We had our GIAA Chair & Garden Arty event! Thank you DIA joining us for free children crafts on Saturday May 31 from 1pm - 4pm, and then we had more children crafts from 4pm - 6pm. The children really had a great time! Thank you Lisa Corrigan for arranging the children crafts with the DIA, and extra crafts after the DIA left. Your work is beautiful!! Thank you to all of the artist who participated in our Chair & Garden Arty, and the members who helped out running this event. The proceeds will help fund the Concert on the Commons.
DIA Inside/Out Program
Thank you to the Detroit Institute of the Arts for selecting Grosse Ile for their Inside/Out program. The DIA selected replicate art work to be displayed around the island, for our community to enjoy May - October 2025. Thank you to Janice Richards and Joan Hemsworth making this event happen. They met with the DIA to organize this family-fun, educational and artistic event for everyone in our community.

Alliance for the Arts Fall Art Show 2025
Our art show is scheduled for October 10 - 12, 2025 at the VFW hall on Macomb. Call for all artist!! This is a three day show with A People's choice award, 1st place winner $100 + free one year membership to the GIAA, 2nd place $25 + one year free membership, and 3rd place $15 + free one year membership. We will have a Friday reception from 6pm - 8pm!

Monthly Meeting
Our next meeting is at 9:30 am on Tuesday, June 10th, 2025 at St. James Church on East River. Anyone interested in promoting art is welcome to join.
